Big Ang – Imperial March (11 Stems)(44.1k-24bit)
Well, until I come across a different stem set with Star Wars samples in, I`m gonna have to post this every 4th Of May. Just so you know !
So big shout out and a” plug of the week” to the “Queen of Bassline” herself, Big Ang for the stems pack. If you havent heard this 135 bpm club warper before. its basically the first 3 original (and best) films in the series squeezed in chronological order, into a 6 and a half minutes long club tune.
Everything in the track is mash up “parody” I suppose comprising of completely rewritten (not sampled) brass and musical parts, spoken film samples and FX, and some drums, and a bassline. Nuthin else.
I`ve already mentioned last year that Im a fan of the track and I do have a mix of my own on the way.. Hopefully it`ll be ready in say..about a year? Busy Busy !
Looks like BA has been having a busy start to the year herself which is always good to see.. 3 official remixes in the dance charts at the mo.. nice. Mixmag feature too. Jerub`s “Cold” remix a poppin.. It`s all goin on. More info and links to that info, more stems and remixes here.

Being the 4th of May, Im hoping Im granted a little indulgence for, a bit of a tale.
Good story this one, hope you like it.
Back in 2004 ish I was up in a club in Birmingham UK, just on my way out, done my bit in another room, that sort of thing, and a tune caught my ear. The ears picked up on some beats they seemed to like, and they heard some familiar Star Wars samples and a killer bassline. So I hung around (as you do) to listen to the track into the next mix (as you do). Had a little look thru the door (might as well uh) and to my surprise was a raving 6 foot Darth Vader on stage, in all the trimmings complete with light sabre ! Wasnt expecting that. And there seemed to be much merrymaking.
I remember it plain as day.. ended up buying the vinyl too shortly after. I still have it.
To cut a long story short and jumping 18 years forward.. Here`s the stems:

So if you want to know what all the recent fuss is about with “Bassline House” go have a read for a bit of background on the scene/history. Its noy exactly concise, but great for an intro. Tis what it is.
