Dua Lipa – Training Season (23 Stems)(44.1k-24bit)(Remix Contest)
If you hadn`t noticed, Dua Lipa’s “Training Season” is back on the treadmill of musical rotation and having a full-blown second life.. Everybody loves it when a tune gets some wind back in its sails again. Do they not ?
Originally released on February 15, 2024 as part of the Radical Optimism era, the track has since clawed its way back onto global charts and social feeds once again, and with much aplomb. Like a bomb. The spark was/is a viral manifestation trend on TikTok and Instagram.
Who would have guessed.
Here`s the lowdown:
Apparently, “fans have latched onto a piece of pop-culture lore that makes the song feel almost prophetic. “Training Season” is “a strict manifesto” about refusing to train another unreliable partner”. I know the feels.. It dropped on the exact birthday of Callum Turner—the actor Dua Lipa later married. The timing has turned the track into a digital good-luck charm: she wrote about ending the era of bad dates, and it aligned with the start of the relationship that stuck”.
That lore, combined with the song’s renewed streaming power (it recently crossed 1 billion streams on Spotify, becoming her 15th track to hit the mark), has, luckily enough created perfect conditions for some fresh remixes !!
Because us producers now get to access the previously unavailable stem set to help with the promotion of the song ! part deux..
But, be warned.. the bar is already high on this one guys, so best remixing shoes on. and dont forget the polish !

Chloe Caillet Remix:
The official Chloé Caillet Mix is an hypnotic late-night deep-house club track. Very nice.
On the underground side of things, the bass-heavy Dj Dark Remix (who may or may not be one of our members.. shhh) has dominated gym playlists and dancefloors for a while.
Any new version has to clear those benchmarks to stand out. Not to put too finer point on it.

Best mention about now lol that its Skio that have just opened up the “global remix contest” for “Training Season”, in partnership with Warner Records, once again. Producers get access to 23 official stems (including the dry lead vocal), with more than $11,000 in prizes and the chance for Warner A&R to hear the entries. It’s free to enter and closes in early November.
The remixers themselves can also earn cash from spamming their mixes all over social media. See competition rules for deets on that, because that is one rabbit hole this boy aint going down right now.

Bet you didnt know that the stems for “Somebody That I Used To Know” are by far one of the most popular modern Multitracks or Stem sets, on the site.. true, its been “out there” since its release in 2011.. but still, probably top 20 or so. The numbers it gets touch some of the most popular MJ Multis.
And now there`s even a new remix made from the stems by our old pal David Guetta together with ARTBAT, which was released only yesterday. So you can check out the remix in the video above, or enjoy it via our Spotify playlist here. Good excuse for little “Plug Of The Week” too.

Dont know if you guys get as many “Released 41 years ago today/this week/this year” mentions about old albums and old songs original release dates as my feed does, but if you do, you`ll know, roughly 41 years ago, Dire Straights released “Brothers In Arms”. One of the very first true totally digital “DDD” recordings.
At least “Money For Nothing” made it out of the digital vaults then.. Wonder if the rest of the albums multitracks are out there too..

Hey guys.. guess what time it is ? Its time once more for the ClubRemixer “Plug Of The Week” !
I`ve got a good feeling about this one..
So yeah, looks like Skio and Warner have teamed up yet again to bring you another winner of a Remix Contest.. this time its the turn of one of the original men in black, Michael Buble, to feature with his Jazz classic “Feeling Good”. A song made famous by Nina Simone if you recall.
Guaranteed to be an interesting remix competition due to the song being a jazzy composition in D♯/E♭ minor and comes at a tempo of 77bpm. Which, in a dance music world might sound a little scary to start with, I know (same) but all is not lost before we start. Double up that tempo and you get 154 bpm, which you can then time stretch down to something more usable if you so wish. In a nutshell 128 bpm should be OK. Not saying Skio are looking only for 128 remixes but, at least there`s an avenue to go down to make something in a dance music stylee. Even the 140 bpm D&B range also looks like a tempter too. Then there`s the Dubstep guys who will have a field day come whatever, so in general.. Pretty much doable one way or another..
So dont panic !
As you may or may not recall, there have already been a couple of club versions of the song, and there was even an officially released version by Hypaton & our old pal, David Guetta.. which proves a mix can be done around the 128 bpm sweet spot !
