Bet you didnt know that the stems for “Somebody That I Used To Know” are by far one of the most popular modern Multitracks or Stem sets, on the site.. true, its been “out there” since its release in 2011.. but still, probably top 20 or so. The numbers it gets touch some of the most popular MJ Multis.
And now there`s even a new remix made from the stems by our old pal David Guetta together with ARTBAT, which was released only yesterday. So you can check out the remix in the video above, or enjoy it via our Spotify playlist here. Good excuse for little “Plug Of The Week” too.
btw, will be updating the Spotify Playlist at least every Friday when the new tunes come out.

Anyways.. point of post.. I reckon this tune more than deserves a remix competition of its own. OK, roughly translated , mainly because.. I wanna do a remix ! Hmm. Not being biased either just because its our gal next door Becky, (who rarely sees her songs appear as stems – trust me on that lol), but because it would make a really good remix contest track. And there`s no official remixes out yet.. so, maybe there`s.. hope?
Anybody feel like pounding on a few doors for (me) erm.. the greater good ?

Looks like its been a good start for “Say Something”. 400,000 views in no time and a new entry at 20 on the UK dance chart. Congrats to Becks & Sonny on a great start to the songs life !

Made a new “mix” for the player over the last few days with some tunes Ive been buying along the way.. called, surprisingly – Pop EDM Volume 1 (for now). There`s about 20 songs on there.. all radio edits. Check it out at the top of the site.

Hey guys.. guess what time it is ? Its time once more for the ClubRemixer “Plug Of The Week” !
I`ve got a good feeling about this one..
So yeah, looks like Skio and Warner have teamed up yet again to bring you another winner of a Remix Contest.. this time its the turn of one of the original men in black, Michael Buble, to feature with his Jazz classic “Feeling Good”. A song made famous by Nina Simone if you recall.
Guaranteed to be an interesting remix competition due to the song being a jazzy composition in D♯/E♭ minor and comes at a tempo of 77bpm. Which, in a dance music world might sound a little scary to start with, I know (same) but all is not lost before we start. Double up that tempo and you get 154 bpm, which you can then time stretch down to something more usable if you so wish. In a nutshell 128 bpm should be OK. Not saying Skio are looking only for 128 remixes but, at least there`s an avenue to go down to make something in a dance music stylee. Even the 140 bpm D&B range also looks like a tempter too. Then there`s the Dubstep guys who will have a field day come whatever, so in general.. Pretty much doable one way or another..
So dont panic !
As you may or may not recall, there have already been a couple of club versions of the song, and there was even an officially released version by Hypaton & our old pal, David Guetta.. which proves a mix can be done around the 128 bpm sweet spot !

I guess we are so blessed having the top two dance music procuders in the world as members of ClubRemixer. I`m 100% sure they wont mind me “letting that slip“. Its been a total blast getting to know the guys.. just sayin. Was mentioning to David Guetta only the other day how its been so close for years between him and Calvin Harris for that “Number One Spot”. Which got me thinking.. Who is the number one supremo producer out of the two? So I Googled it. as you do. Google wasnt sure. says “it depends”.. Ah CMON !! “on streams or who makes the most moolah per gig“. Oh Ok. A bit non-committal.. Chat GTP then. Same. Surely Grok will save the day and come up with the definitive answer. Nope. Fully chickened out. “Its a draw, mostly”.. ffs.
After that I fed Chat GTP`s output into Grok`s input and vise versa, ie: fed each others results back to each other for 30 minutes straight. Still nothing !! No bloody winner ! I think I actually managed to piss AI bots off. So got fed up, then wired each other in a loop via a bot ! haha. Froze both apps ! and digital confusion reigned.. Probably blew a data centre or two up along the way, but no bother.
Ok, didnt do the last bit tbh. Felt like it tho.
Sigh.
Guess we may never know the answer to the “ultimate question”.
Best leave that one there for now..
Anyways.. point of post.
Calvin (not his real name btw), who joined us early on was, shall we say, “keen” to grab one of our stem sets, and long story short (for now) he`s only gone and done a remix from the “76 bits and pieces” found in the said CR Remix Pack ! Nice. Not only that, but the track is going to be the official song for the Scottish World Cup Football Team ! See, CR is acually useful ..mostly..
Oh, btw, on your behalf dear reader, I really do try to get Calvin to part with some more stem sets for you guys, you know, to like, return the favour.. but, not saying he`s a bit tight with the stems (odd for a Scot), but I do have to remind him frequently of his behind the scenes nickname we have for him: “Calvin no ones having my stems-piss off Harris”. We do laugh. He loves it when I wind him up about his $300 Million Dollar net worth.
I remind him almost weekly that the stems are “only for the Masterpost”.. and keep promising him they wont “leak” and all that good stuff, but upto now its always been a definite no. So I`ve tried. Only thing left to try, is you guys. Please go and find Calvin on socials or in real life, on the beach probably, and greet him with the phrase ” Release More Stems – Tight Ass”. That should do the trick.
Its not as though we dont help out in other ways either.. I said to him only the other month to maybe try doing a little Bassline/Speedy Garage tune for a change.. you know, a bit of “135”. Add something surprising, with a twist.. with like a riff from some early 90`s trance tune, then maybe drop in a male vocal for a change.. and I mean, fairplay to him. He`s actually had a bash at the idea ! Check the new track out in the video below:

So our guy with the “skills” has remixed the rave classic “Bits & Pieces” by Artemesia, to help Scotlands efforts in the World Cup tournament. And the news of that can mean only one thing ! The CR “Unofficial Remix Competition-Plug Of The Week” thing. Yay. Theyre soooo much fun !
Calvin`s done the official remix. Seems only right that everyone else can have a go at one of our unofficial ones uh?
You`ll get the exact same building blocks as the man himself.. so get to it. Plenty of time to get your mixes over to him.. Im sure he cant wait to hear them all.
Closing date is when the Scots kick that first ball against their initial opponents.. Brazil.

Tina Charles – I Love To Love (Remix Competition)
Hey Gang,
So the first official ClubRemixer “plug of the week” of the year is here ! Been a while waiting for something notable to appear in 2026 that is worthy our utmost accolade, admittedly didnt think it`d take a month and a bit to materialize, but now there is something we can do some shouting about.. at last !
On the CR radar this time is a Remix Competition for a true classic from 1976 ! which is of course Tina Charles “I Love To Love”. You guessed that already uh ?
This remix contest is already live and looking for submissions. Since yours truly only found the contest this morning (imagine missing it ! eek) so I do apologise for not bring news sooner, but one cant scan heaps of Instagram posts daily unfortunately. Good news is there`s still time to go grab the multitrack and a midi file and get a mix done (quickly) and entered into the competition.
Deadline is the end of this month so you do have to get your skates on somewhat.

10 Feb 26 Update
Guys, great news.. the remix package for the competition includes.. the real multitrack !! Transfered from tape to digital by the legendary remixer of DMC fame himself Sanny X (with the blessing of the label in case you were a wondering). But, bad news is CR has agreed not to release the the multi just yet for obvious reasons. It has been agreed that our members can have a copy after the contest is over, which, I suppose is fair. Please be patient, or, even better, get yourself emrolled in the contest, grab the multitrack & get a remix going.. but be quick.. clock is ticking !

Ok, so this could very well be the last “Plug Of The Week” of the year. And a timely one at that given its the season to be jolly and what have you. btw, hope you guys have enjoyed all the “plugs” given away this year, its been fun doing em.. and this is probably the last official remix competition we feature too.. but, maybe not the last unofficial one..
So didnt have this one on the Xmas bingo card at all.. Cher coming out with a Christmas remix contest !
And another big shout out seems to be due to Warner & Skio for coming up trumps with the goodies once again for the remix community to dive into. Im sure we all appreciate what theyve both been doing this year with the stems side of things, so credit where its due.

Great to see another well known club banger getting the remix competition treatment.. this time its time to get busy on the classic floorfiller by Nicky Romero & NERVO “Like Home”, which was first released way back in 2012/13, so some fresh remixes definitely wont go amiss.
And since its a well known tune, and one a little close to the heart, we`ve no option but to add some CR sprinkle to proceedings and offer our support with the most coveted, ClubRemixer “Plug Of The Week” award !

Not entirely sure if this stem pack is from a new Chainsmokers remix contest or not, and/or it got out early or what. Suppose if there isnt a remix contest due and these stems just accidentally landed on the net a month after the tracks release, probs best to leave it there and say a little thanks to the stem gods..

OK, hold the front page. There is now such a thing as a “Remix Campaign“.
And you thought “Global Remix Challenge” was winning in the “let`s rename a remix contest (or competition) to something different for a change challenge” I mean, C`mon.. what next? Get that thesaurus out boys and girls.
And they used italics. and with parentheses. Is someone…. teasing ?!?!
Joking aside, and simply put, this is good news. All Good. I will now attempt to explain to you all what I think a Remix Campaign actually is, and how, in future, how one should be used. IMO. Get the popcorn out.
De La Soul ft. Chaka Khan – All Good – CAN 7 Supermarket Remix
But first, if you hadnt guessed, there`s a new Remix Campaign that`s recently been announced for the De La Soul & Chaka Khan track “All Good”. Which has now entered into our world. Yay. Been a couple of really cool mixes of it already from MJ Cole & Can 7 and it`s all good. Already.
Even so, De La Soul themselves, and presumably any associated label(s) are looking for more remixes of the tune, from anyone. ie: the rather large talent pool one might find on the internet (if you were to think about it for a bit). The good news is too, is that there is no end date for “The Campaign”. You just do your mix, send it to the boys when its all good and ready. See where it goes from there kinda vibe goin on.
Which then, if you think about it, the campaign itself, becomes a permanantly open door to De La Soul if you like remixing their tracks. Cant see the guys saying aint no go to a listen or two.. on something new, can you? nah.

Now the even better bit. IMO, this remix campaign thingy could truly be the way to go in the future for artists/labels & the producers like us, who likes to muck about with stems and multitracks and can play “a bit”. I will happily wield the death knell for the words remix contests and remix competitions willingly, if it is made so !
The key, you see, is to have no end date for the Campaign. That forces that open door. So, from here on in you guys, please, if youre going to use the word “Campaign” in this manner, there has to be no end date. Super Important.
This is a good thing. All good.
De La Soul ft. Chaka Khan – All Good – OG 7″ MIX
Now, imagine if a few artists with anniversaries of their songs released a stem pack to celebrate, say, going to number one 40 years ago, then they happened to offer a stem set in the remix campaign stylee to garner some new “remixes” for a more modern audience ie: for the interent to do its thing with, with a look to.. (wait for it) an actual release. Imagine all that, and it has to come with this much “hands on” to work. You get the the responses, the feedback and the contact building as a by product, almost. And it has to be operated with a very high degree of gusto as I`m sure De La Soul will. Much could be learnt from this little remix Campaign.. the first of many we`d hope. fingers crossed.
