The heavyweight big name remix competitions do seem to be still coming. Awesome sauce.
This time you get to remix and hopefully win loads of great prizes from The Chainsmokers and Ship Wrek with the new track “The Fall”. From the new album which I`d guess is either out now or it will be soon.
Really liking the track actually, so yet another one to add to that ever growing list of “remixes to do” ! Saying that, with a 40 day window to get any mixes finished and entered, its quite doable.
So the tune itself is as solid as they come, as you will have maybe heard by now, and with 35 stems of separation, the song now opens itself up for a multitude of mixes in differing styles and genres. Previously an unreleased song here from our Rita with “Sirens In London”. The song itself “leaked” a few days ago, and for sure it will be interesting to see what happens now theres a stems set to go with it out in the wild at the same time. Not the first time this has happened but still a bit of a rarity if we`re honest, but again, we are certainly starting to see more of it, especially with the big name remix comps. Which can only be a good thing. And as discussed previously on the blog, this practice surely helps more on the promo side of things than it hurts.
And the new song comes with a back story.. Apparently Ms Ora wrote this song after the police shut down her illegal COVID birthday party. As you would I suppose.

You`re going to have to roll with me on this one.. Also decided to do a bit of research on this song as well since I`d hazard a guess, not many of you have heard the above track before. 1.9k You Tube views pretty much says the same.
Which is a shame, cos its a damn good tune.. slight undertones of something Placebo-esque and not a million miles away from something several well known remixers have picked up on in the past, and remixed the living you know what out of. If I was able to run a poll I`d love to see which track you guys preferred between this track with the 1.9K views vs the Conan Gray – Maniac track (posted above) which has a combined stream tally of over 200 Million.
Hence its getting a “plug of the week”. Someone really does need to get stuck into this and realise its clubby potential.
All the parts are here to do a great EDM dance mix which, I cant not lie.. well, its beggin for one ! oo er.
Nicely uptempo so no timestretching needed.. (And its got a piano bit in too).
