I know, I know I know I know I know, this has been posted fairly recently.. but there`s a new live rendition of “Murder On The Dancefloor” thats just landed online, brought to us by the good ol`BBC. Yep, the Beeb are on it recently with their “Live Lounge” and “BBC Orchestra” “Piano Room” channels, which I`ve kinda become pretty fond of already.. so do expect more of these videos as they arise.
You all know Sophie`s M.O.T.D is kicking off again due to the song being in Saltburn, but great to see she can still hit the back of the net with a very recent live performance. And yes, she still has the best checkbones in the business.. All that smiling she`s been doing recently I`d guess š

Been an interesting week or two where Ive happened to come across several tunes that sample some well known tracks quite heavily.. so decided to post a few for you guys to check out. Added a couple more “under the radar” ones that caught the eye too. Dont think any of these have hit the charts yet, some already should have, some probably never will..
So there`s a new U2 song out.. some say, its one of their better most recent songs. I was originally half expecting Atomic City to have a slight Blondie flavour even before I heard the tune funnily enough..and I wasnt to be disappointed after a little “ecouter”. Turned out to be a totally different Blondie song to what was expected tho. The chorus is all “Call Me”. Very funny David. Point scored !

Didnt see this one coming.. a live mash up with an orchestra ! Rick mashing his own hit record “Never Gonna Give You Up” with Ed Sheeran`s “Shape Of You”. OK, so its not exactly a “club remix”, but a, someone may make one, and b, just had to post it anyway.

Was expecting this to be based on a sample of an old dance track that will go un-named, but that one didnt quite pan out.. great tune all the same from the gal next door.

Hope you found something of interest there guys.. suppose the underlying point here is that when it comes to borrowing other songs melodies to put in your own, there seems to be a green light given by the powers that be. Thought it worth a mention as there seems to be more these days than there was a while back. Cant wait for more.
