Anyway, if you have not seen or heard this new “cover” version of the BeeGees “You Should Be Dancin”, it is totally worth the watch. imo. Several times probably. It`s just sooooo good ! Just press play on the above video. Over a million views in a few days, so spose you`d take that.
Dunno if this is getting a full release or whatever (darent look) but you`d hope so. There`s been a new video made and released (this one), so some wheels are turning either way.. A surprise hit on the cards maybe?

Been an interesting few days behind the scenes.. amongst other things I`ve been dusting off the old streaming equipment, just in case its needed anytime soon, and doing the old updating software you havent used for about 4 years kinda thing, because.. Fuser is coming out. And by the time you read this it probably will be out. Not that I`m clock watching. And even though I`m trying to avoid getting a copy of this for fun, I probably will end up getting it for research purposes.
You see, Ive been viewing a few streams of this game on Twitch recently.. for research purposes, dont you know, and everytime, there`s something new that catches my eye.. to the extent of maybe just a level below “Jaw Dropping”.. or at least somewhere `round that level. Due to the said “research” I get the feeling that this game is probably going to be even better than I expected.. and looks like theres some serious depth to it in places. Your main thoughts as you play through I guarantee will be “oh, it does that does it, ok, thats cool” followed by “whoa, you can do that too”? ect..
As you can see I`m dying to spoil it for everyone. But I cant. Just cant. And for sure I dont want to even try and explain all the mechanics used to play 4 different parts of a song together with 4 parts of any of about 100 songs and how they magically all gel together (nearly) with all the pitch correction and key change malarky going on.
Lets just say it looks like a few programs like Recycle, Melodyne & Mixed In Key all had a bit of a party and gave birth the morning after. To something.. And if you are familiar with Harmonix`s previous outing “Dropmix”, you`ll know all about that wizardry already. “All now at the touch of a button”.. as some reviews would say.
The good news is that every review Ive also read about Fuser is pretty much clueless as to what this “game” is actually all about partly because the review copies are limited to certain modes and songs (I believe), but mainly because they simply wont have had time to learn the game and what it becomes later down the line when you have gained a very deep knowledge of the entire software. You might even need some skill in places. And a bit of studio knowledge wont hurt either,by the looks of things.
I`ll leave it there for now, tempted to spoil further but there`s heaps of streams on Twitch atm, so you can get a better idea from watching a few of those if you wish, but every glance will contain a spoiler or two, so thats up to you. I`ll leave this first post about Fuser as short as poss, but here are a few quotes from Harmonix themeselves I copied and pasted from some recent Twitch chats..

A couple of really interesting packs have landed in the inbox recently, so here`s the first.. And it is a bit of a first because I cant recall any other video game soundtrack appearing in stem form before .. ever ! So a real first here. Wish there were more out there, but in reality, this is probably a bit of a one off.. Unless I missed the memo. I know there`s a few bits here and there, but a full game in bits? News to me.
Does make you wonder tho, what is actually out there in stem form, (from video games).. I`m sure many of you who like your games “Soundtracks” would say the same..and want a fair few yourself. Personally, I`d die for Nintendo`s Splatoon 1 Soundtrack in stem form.. (The best EVER game soundtrack..bought the CD even!) tho I might pass on Splatoon 2 (I wouldn`t really).. But just in case anyone has any game stems similar to these Sonic ones, well, you know what to do by now š

70`s & 80`s HQ RB Rips
Funny that I came across these RB Rips recently with what we`re attempting with the new buying a few stems idea.
Back in the day when Rockband rips were all the rage, I knew a guy, as you do, who made me some high quality Rock Band DLC rips. At a price of course. I can even remember how much they cost ! $10 each. Gotta be 10 years ago I got these, and I think only a few so far might have made it on to the net.. I`m hoping these are all of them, but I`ll have to double check.
Anyway, long story short, These rips were some of the very first ones to be ripped in such high quality. The day the DLC came out, my guy ripped em, and I got them. They were and still could be quite rare rips because everybody had expanded OGGS and MOGGS at the time and most didnt know the difference in quality. If it was a WAV it was good. These will all scan in Spek as true 44.1k- 16&24 bits. Please keep these to yourselves also. More goodies for your “rare” folder !

Fuser Game Multitracks/Stems/Acapellas/Instrumentals
Dont know if any of you are aware yet of a video game coming out in the Fall/Autumn of 2020 called “FUSER” ??

It`s a bit like DJ Hero / Drop Mix from what I gather, so I for one will be in there (more than likely) on day of release, because, frankly, I`m a sucker for music based video games. (No surprise there uh)?
The game will be available on both Sony`s & Microsoft`s consoles (whichever they may be at the time I suppose) AND on the Nintendo Switch (Yay). I`ll more than likely wait till a few reviews though to see which platform I`ll get this on.
If motion controls are involved for the Switch (Hi Devs) I`ll go that way, otherwise it`ll be X-Box.
(any advance code received guarantees a write up) just sayin.
Anyway, come release, I`m planning on streaming Fuser (on Twitch.tv) , so everyones will be invited š .. and there will be a stickied page on the site, and maybe a twitter post regarding when I`m going live with any streams. So, keep a look out on here nearer the release date.
Some information on the game is already out there, so it`s pretty easy to clue yourself up as to what`s coming and what songs there are going to be in the game at launch*…before the inevitable DLC gets released ! That`s probably what I`m looking forward to the most thqh.The initially listed song selection is a bit meh for me (so far), but I`m sure other people will love it. Only a small selection of tracks have been named as yet but there are supposed to be around 100 songs coming at launch. If there is any more news on track listings I`ll update this post or make a new one to keep folk “in the loop”.

Here`s a quote from the Wiki page which should be interesting if it the licensing side of things pans out..
Harmonix’ Dan Sussman said “that as with past Harmonix games, songs from bands closely associated with Harmonix employees will likely also appear on the full setlist. Sussman also said that for music licensing purposes, they assured that the rights for these songs not only include the ability to mix with other songs, but for users to share these songs and mixes to social media“.
Cant wait to see how that pans out either.
