This week, roughly about 50 years ago, apparently in a recording studio far far away in little known villiage in Wales UK, a band called Queen set about writing what would become something a little bit special.

Sources say Bohemian Rhapsody was then recorded by Queen and co-producer Roy Thomas Baker at five studios between August and September 1975. Not sure where. Not digging that deep today.

Fast forward those 50 years and we find ourselves in 2025 still blessed with the multitrack of the song Freddie and his pals recorded over an insanely busy 3 week recording period, and amongst other noteworthy things, like how the track was done in three separate “chunks” and glued together, its said that due to recording logistics of the era, the band had to bounce the tracks across eight generations of 24-track tape, meaning that they required nearly 200 tracks for overdubs. So the tapes started to wear a little thin. Lucky they got it all down n done uh?

If we actually look at the release date for Bo Rap it was October 31st 1975, which means that in approx 6 weeks, we have ourselves a bonafide anniversary of a seminal pop song.

Which can only mean one thing. The world must be about ready for some new 2025 remixes of the track ! Surely ??
And you know what that means. Time for another “unofficial remix contest”.

There obviously have been a fair few remixes done over the years as the multitrack has been available for a while, so going to link below one of the better ones, to give you guys a few ideas and maybe a little inspiration.
You could go housey, or drum n bass.. or anything in between.
