Either way, congrats to Mariah for finally getting that number 1 in the U.K with A.I.W.F.C 26 years after it`s initial release where it only previously managed a number 2. Apparently it was a bit of a squeeze with East 17 just landing in the top slot.

TOP 100 “ACQUIRED” MULTITRACKS 2020
Just been prepping up what was going to be the New Years post, on what we have actually achieved in the short time the site has been running.. well that was the plan.
Looking back we kinda did OK. The initial idea was to grab maybe 4 or 5 files a month “from wherever” and build up a bit of a library of rare and hard to find multitracks that were previously not exactly in the hands of musicians and music lovers, but, all the same, I`m pleased to say we exceeded expectations, and below is a list that is just about, give a take a few I`ve missed, or discounted on purpose, 100 packs. a nice round number.. Not a bad haul.
So currently working on yet another new page & this list & I`m hoping to edit this post “on the fly” the next 20-odd days. There will be download links added over the coming month, and there will be some info added as to what is going to be released, and whereabouts on the site it will be living. All via one post. (this one). Some could be released soon, some could be next year, some, maybe never. It depends on Santa`s mood but mainly from external factors tbh. Thought it best to let everyone in the scene know whats coming in case they want to leak/trade a few things beforehand.. some people seem to like that, so here`s ya heads up 😉

Ok, sooo.. where to start 🙂 This `ere multitrack (in its fullest form) is one of the two multitracks thats pretty much responsible for me getting on several peoples cases on a mission to find em. You know who you are. So apologies for that… ermm.. I`ll move on..
It`s only because Im a bit of a fan of Seal.. (and the other song) and of course, this particular track.. which changes the goalposts ! Seen the guy live twice (hope that counts) bought 3 T-shirts and the first 3 albums on CD, cos lets face it, theyre by far the best. and cos Trevor. If your not a Seal fan. a, why not, b, listen to the first 3 albums.
Now, rarely do I beg the internet (or maybe Seal lol if he`s passing by) to do the right thing and let the full multi of Crazy out in to the wild. I`d appreciate, as would many other folk I believe..
It may not even be out there at all, who knows.. well, somebody might. So the big ask is going out (again).

I was going to post this video, as a “make up your own mind if classic tracks should be remixed in an upto date style or left alone” kind of thing, and I suppose it still will be the main theme of this little blog post.
It goes without saying Kygo has the multitrack for “Hot Stuff” along with maybe a few more.. who knows? Not me that`s for sure.. 😉 but it does go to show the “2020 Remix” (or whatever year) is still a thing. Only difference this decade we`re now getting music stems as well as the more traditionally leaked vocals only side of things. So happy days !
So what did/do you think to the mix? Good/Bad – Good Idea/Winner/Good luck to him.. or it “Shouldn`t have been touched.. it is sacred” !!!! Where are you on the scale?? haha . Answers on a postcard. Ideally to Kygo here.
And it probably is a fair bet there will be more remixes of classic tunes (and maybe some not so classic ones) in the pipeline right now as we speak going on. I know of 3, and thats only me lol.
Which brings us back round to the point of the post.. remixing old stuff, it`s something that will never end. It hasnt yet.. and as we move forward with more source material becoming available almost daily, I dont think the trend will be going away any time soon either. At least the record companies are being a bit more cool with things though as this is obvs an official release and what have you.. so, from where I`m typing, thats a major bonus for everybody. One would assume that if there ever was a time to get that “classic” multitrack pack and make a “remix” with upto date things in it, now is that time. Get that mix done, say hi to the big guns, and hope they like it. The door`s open guys it seems. Well, if you know somebody on the inside, but we`ll forget that bit and just hope talent wins through. Or I suppose it would help a bit if your profile was as big as Kygo`s, but hey, you never know. No harm in trying.
Either way, 8 Million views in 6 weeks. Not too shabby. Proof of concept right there.
Now if only the record companies could convince themselves to release more multitracks, wouldn`t that just be dandy?

Also, while I`m here.. we do seem to have a small team of “crack multitrack restorers” (if you like) coming to the fore..so I may, or may not be, on the hunt for someone to recreate a multitrack of the full version of “Go” with the remix parts listed below. While searching for a video for Linda Cliffords “Repossessed” I stumbled across the Reflex Revisions really really nice version of it, and I kinda wondered why I haven`t brought this guy up before now. He is probably half the reason I dont do re-masters/revisions, and thats the other half of reason why I choose to use multi`s in a very different way.. I`d rather “Jack”, than Fleetwood Mac tbh. Not saying I dont totally appreciate multi`s in their “raw” state tho..

There`s loads of new versions of classic multitracks mixed from their original form (or revised) to listen to with all the upto date nice mixing tekkers & processing on them ect.. and if your a little bit sneaky, you can look what he`s mixed to possibly know what multitracks may be out there.
