ClubRemixer Spotify Playlist & News

Hey gang, Hope everyone had a great summer !
Been a busy summer for sure. Site side of things we recently hit a 1000 members over on our Buy Me A Coffee page, so many thanks to each and every one of you keeping the ball rolling on that one. More info on joining the site as a supporter here. Might look into getting Patreon back up at some point as well, as that still gets asked about, but that`s for another time.
Which brings us to News Part 2.
Started using Mediafire now, but those links dont last long on the main page, so all new files on the main pages from now on will have a Medifire link as a back up to a “live” available to all, Nitro download.
So long term you wont need Nitro at all, but for now, new visitors will probably still need a months premium which you can also get more information on here. But we hear you, so an option for an unpaid download host is on the way. Had a bit of a recent influx of queries about this so made a move on it.
In other news, we have our brand new “ClubRemixer Spotify Playlist” to present for you guys to check out.. and it gets nearly a post of its own not only because it`ll be easier to find on Google, hopefully, but also you can come back to this page, anytime, maybe on a mobile device even, just before you pop in the bath, and launch the playlist from here. Cool uh?
Turned out very much like some playlist you`d hear in a gym. (coughs) coincidence? nah.
You wanna know why?
So, a while back, it became apparent yours truly was going to join a gym again. I promise this will totally tie in to the playlist. Might even make some sense to some folk who know Ive been secretly buying lots of popular EDM tunes lately. My mate in the pub is already loving the new supply. No lie, he played the Alesso version of Titanium in full ! The extended version .. from start to finish. At about 11.30 pm on a Saturday. To the general public. Savage.
The thought still brings a smile to my face. He didnt get the sack either, so thats good.
No plug of the week here (realllly) but the gym I joined, is an Everlast one. You may have heard of them. Big ups to the guys and gals down the local. Now if you`ve ever been in an Everlast gym, music wise, you`ll know they ALL play pretty much the same stuff most of the time, on rotation. Probably. Some of those tunes have now also found a permanent home on our own Spotify Playlist. Yay. Its all uptempo “Vocal, Dance, Pop & Remixes”. Their words. Mine would be Pop-EDM. Same thing. Different spin. Hopefully both a Hiit with both our members !
Sorry, new to gym jokes.
FYI. In EVERY gym in the Everlast chain they`re said to use mainly use 3 Spotify playlists called excitingly “Everlast Gyms Vol 1,2,3” There is no 4 yet, but the stream keeps getting updated with new tunes, so dunno what gives. Ive deep dived into it and still no 100% AI answer.. saying that, Whoever is in charge of picking the tracks, got to say, is pretty much on it. Someone else has an eye for earworms and, well, we cant have that can we ??
I mean, as far as the music goes, in venue, its great. Love it to bits. I know all the songs that even the cool kids dont or do ! its almost been unfair, but when you hear the same tunes over and over for a couple of years while getting the reps in, your ears almost pick out all the good ones and brain files them under “not a bad tune that”. But, being in the “music biz” as you could say, music hits a bit different and as you all know, hear a decent track a few times and it will gently embed itself forever in your soul. Whether you like it or not most of the time. Not to put it too bluntly !
That`s the background. Literally.
In a nutshell then, this playlist consists of the “best of” the Everlast gyms supposed 3 playlists, ie: the songs that could actually be found that were not on the playlists at all, and the tracks that have been heard in gym, listened to and ID`d ect, and all the stuff my Dj mate has been given to play in the pub for the lolz. And a few special requests. Sound like a good combo?
50 Songs in total. For now. All the right songs are there, but some are not necessarily in the right order.
Hope you all enjoy 🙂

Spotify Remix Studio

Ok, I`ll admit straight away there may be a few bees in my bonnet still buzzing around regarding the Spotify remix studio thing we brought you news of a short while ago here. So much so, there`s a high chance this could become something of a mini series of blog posts, because there`s so much Spotify could do with this new service one kinda needs to get some thoughts out into the open, on the off chance, A, I`m right, (bragging rights-yay) and B, (mainly) because things are still in development over at Spotify HQ ! you know? hehe.
But where to start?
What about a clue ? that would give it all away tho, even if the title and pic did not already..
Either way, also, because we can, lets name the baby ..before it`s born ! (just for ease of use)
How does “Spotify Remix Studio” sound ? Good uh?
Now, if it was to be named that, ask yourself, would you be happy paying that extra moolah on top of your Spotify sub, only to find you can only make totally legit Mash Ups & AI Remixes and Cover Versions inside the app? Not that that isnt groundbreaking enough already lol.
Surely you might be wanting more of an “experience”, or even maybe something akin to an online DAW to muck about with? More news on the “Experience” side of things later. For now, lets stick with the DAW idea.
I was going to mail Spotify and plead with them privately, but since I have no shame left, Im proud enough to beg publicly.
Dearest Spotify,
Welcome to ClubRemixer. Its all been worked out and decided and verified via AI, that you need to incorporate some kind of wonderful D.A.W. in your ongoing development that you have for general users, and for us Dj`s, Remixers, and Mash Up artists.. which btw, we would like you to call “Remix Studio”. I`m kinda hoping it turns out like a great psuedo add on to CR nobody knew they ever wanted haha! Anyway Lu, I have news. You are going to have to use mainly Stems within the new service. Or at the very least, Instrumentals and Acapellas. AI splitting of tracks is going to be no bueno. It has been calculated that artist stems are going to have to be used to keep quality and consistency up across the platform, instead of you guys relying on masters and splitting them with AI.
Wanna know why?
Compute. Expensivo. Investment. Expensivo. More Slop.
In reality, if there millions of users all splitting tracks up at all at once, its all going to be super slow, costly, and “results will still vary”.
Bad rep.
Stems in a “load it quick” online DAW. No-Brainer. And cheaper. Stems straight from artist. Free.
Yeah, keep the AI, but not so much as the focus.
Add a sprinkle of Mixed in Key to the Stems library and the DAW, make sure the time stretching and pitch shifting are pukka and the jobs a good un !
More thoughts and conjecture coming soon !

Spotify To Let You Create AI Remixes and Cover Versions Soon ! (Officially) !!
You may remember a few years ago (about 5 to be exact), someone had the foresight to mock up a Spotify Stems Player, which should have been the future ! (before AI was a thing).. Very surprising that it never saw the light of day..(jk) I tried my best for you guys haha ! That is, or was, until now. Now, you could say things have had.. a remix ! Well, a rework. kinda. No prizes for guessing its an AI rework. And its coming to your favourite green music player very soon.
On May 21, 2026, Spotify dropped the news that they’ve signed a deal with Universal Music Group and probably other major labels (lets be honest, if UMG and Spotify pull this off, they`ll all want in, or the toys will be well and truly thrown out of the pram) because theyre going to let Spotify Premium users create AI remixes and covers directly in their app. Proper official-like, with prompts to turn your favourite track into whatever genre you fancy.. think a David Guetta version of your favourite ballad or whatever twisted vibe your brain comes up with at 4am on a Sunday morning after a night on the sauce.
Artists can opt out if they want, (interesting to see if they do or not), and as recompense the artists who opt in get a cut of the royalties from the said remixes. Your remixes, that is. Ones that you wont be getting the royalties for btw.
It’s coming as a paid add-on on top of the premium sub, and apparently starting with a beta before going full on. No firm date yet, but its on the way ! woooo. Seems that instead of fighting the AI tide, they’re trying to build a nicely licensed infinity pool of stems and HQ masters and will be charging entry. Heard worse ideas tbh.
Will It Actually Be Any Good Though?
Here’s where the conjecture kicks in. On paper it sounds an awesome plan for us remixers.. proper sanctioned stems-on-demand without having to hunt down those dodgy stems websites with badly labelled and incomplete packs to make your remixes from ! Imagine prompting in “make this tune sound like it’s from 2005 with a UK garage sound” and actually getting something usable? Still, for super-fans and bedroom producers it could be, at worst, a laugh.
For the stems crowd, depending on what the source material ends up being (official stems hopefully) it 100% WILL see a fair bit of action.. as well as some action Spotify might not actually be considering just yet. Im sure you know what I mean..
On the upside, this move might even spark some genuine creativity if the quality’s decent. Or, probably, it’ll just flood Spotify with a load of AI slop that makes “real” remixes look even better by comparison.. or maybe not? What if the remixes turn out better than the OG`s ?? Either way, one will be having a little nosey round when it drops.
For the majors like UMG/Warner et al, this could be nice little earner and a possible way to control the AI “wild west” somewhat. Smaller indie artists outside the deal might be sat there a bit miffed though – as per usual. And let’s be honest, if every man and his dog starts pumping out AI versions, does the original track lose a bit of its shine from the off ? Or does it just get more ears on the tune itself that might not have been there at all ? the jury’s out, but we`re all eager to hear the verdict, that`s for sure !
Love it or hate it, we all know AI is the direction of travel one way or another. Music’s going interactive whether we like it or not. Better late than never uh? If Spotify nails the audio quality and keeps it fair on the royalties with access to all thrown in, it could actually be a decent tool for the remix community in general as well as fun for the less committed. If it’s another half-arsed attempt at hyping up the platform with no real substance, well, we’ll all be back here slagging it off and sticking to proper stems and remixes anyways. Either way, 2026 is now shaping up to be a rather interesting year for remixing. Keep your eyes peeled folks for more news, and for now, you will still have to download mostly unofficial stem packs the old-fashioned way, but get yourself ready to prompt like you never have before !
